People in RTI

The BMK offers funding to increase employment in the field of research, technology and innovation. Particular attention is paid to increasing the proportion of women, promoting diversity, building up RTI knowledge and RTI know-how and creating the necessary structures to promote research careers.

Equal opportunities and diversity are key drivers for improving the quality of project results. Diversity in teams also increases the quality of research and development results.

Furthermore, these aspects also contribute to the development of an innovative research culture. Due to their importance, these aspects are also anchored in one of the three central impact objectives of the BMK.

Objectives of funding for people in RTI

  • To attract people - especially girls and women - to the RTI sector through practical experience and to strengthen existing specialists, especially female researchers, technicians and developers.
  • To support organizational development in the direction of equal opportunities, diversity and participation. This contributes to a cultural change and creates a culture of innovation that specifically addresses the shortage of skilled workers in Austria.
